INTENTIONAL CONNECTION ACTIVITIES
Our Seven Layer Social event creates an environment that helps people connect playing board games, doing crafts, singing karaoke, doing trivia, having conversations and the other activities.
1. LISTEN TO MUSIC & DANCING – DJ or Live
Listen and dance to three different types of music, a new one each hour. (Country, Rock & Roll and Pop) Line dancing and dance lessons also.
2. BOARD GAMES & CRAFTS
Have fun playing board games like Uno, chess, Hungry Hippos, Connect Four, Candy Land, Jenga and more. You can also bring crafts like crochet, drawing, Legos, etc. to do while having conversations.
3. TRIVIA QUESTIONS
Three different trivia topics, one hour each with donations from local businesses for prizes.
4. GROUP KARAOKE
Come have fun singing like at a concert with the words projected on a wall.
5. CONVERSATION GROUPS
Groups like musicians, veterans, cooks, quilters. Topics like eating healthy, exercise, budgeting money, setting goals. Sitting or walk and talk.
6. FUN & LIFE SKILLS WORKSHOPS
Drawing, playing guitar, cooking, exercising, gardening, painting. Life skills workshops like how to eat right, exercise, budget money, handle stress, etc.
7. GET HAPPY ROOM
Sometimes you have had a tough day or week and you want to unwind to get in a great mood for a great evening. Laughter and humming are healthy and relaxing. Listing seven things you are thankful for, drinking water, etc.
Building Connection & Community
1. TALK TO LOCAL ACTIVITY GROUPS YOU CAN JOIN
Talk to people from local groups like hiking, cooking, sewing, biking, etc. at their table with lists of local groups available along with their flyers.
2. TALK TO NON-PROFIT GROUPS YOU CAN VOLUNTEER WITH
Talk to people from local groups to sign up or get information on at their table with lists of local non-profit groups available along with their flyers.
3. LEARN ABOUT LOCAL RESOURCES FOR HELP
Learn about local Non-Profit organizations and government agencies that provide help for different needs. Families, children, help find work, provide food, health care and more with table with lists to take and flyers.
4. PEOPLE BINGO & CONVERSATION STARTERS
People Bingo sheets with questions to ask other people to break the ice. On the reverse side will be conversation starter questions.
5. OVERALL DISCUSSION SUBJECT FOR THE NIGHT
Ben Franklin Success Ideas for the subject of the night with sheets to take home and study and do during the following week.
Try to discuss the subject of the night with 3 people. Life Script and 3 Goal worksheet.
6. BECOME PART OF A TRIBE: Everyone wants to be a part of a tribe or community. This activity is a bridge to help them get there which can be impossible without it.
7. FIGHT SOCIAL ISOLATION: Seven Layer Social creates a way to break the ice with activities to help people connect with other people in a relaxed way that helps their emotional and physical health. We need connection.

CONNECTION EVENT LOGISTICS
Helping Your Business and Community
1. BRING NEW PEOPLE TO VISIT YOUR GYM
Get new people to see gym with event open to the community.
2. GET NEW PEOPLE TO JOIN YOURGYM
Get people to become members to be with their new friends. Get them to exercise more as they want to come to the gym to see their friends.
3. GET MEMBERS TO RENEW GYM MEMBERSHIPS
Get new members to renew their membership to be with their new friends. Helpful any time but especially for January New Years resolution signups.
4. GYM IS EMPTY SATURDAY NIGHT
It is a shame that such a great space sits empty on the weekend when people are looking for something to do and help making friends.
5. BUSINESS SPONSORS
Local businesses can help sponsor the night with signage that they are sponsors.
6. NO NIGHT LIFE OR ACTIVITIES IN GRANTS PASS
Since Denny’s closed there is no night life in Grants Pass. Caring about community. Boredom and drinking in a small town.
7. FOOD & SNACKS OPTIONAL
Local businesses can donate food or snacks for the event. Having spaghetti can also be an option as well as food trucks.
SEVEN LAYER SOCIAL SCHEDULE
Friday or Saturday night
5:00 to 8:00 or 6:00 to 9:00
Once a month or every weekend
Setup at 4:00 or 5:00
Gym is pretty empty Saturday at 4:00 so setup could start
at 4:00 and people could come and hangout early.
